Topic: internet governance as a tool for censorship in news media
Internet governance accounts for the rules, practices, and norms for users to follow in order for the internet to be used in a safe manner, it is vital for user-created content and advertising to coexist (Gillespie, 2018). The global scale of internet users is constantly growing all under various practices of internet governance, thus there is bound to be some conflict arising due to the technological nationalism across the nations. The internet is used as a political tool of power and to increase the international competitiveness amongst nations through content censorship and regulation of websites between geopolitical areas (Lemley, 2021).
