AI has taken the world by storm with its entry into the mainstream market ever since the entry of ChatGPT into the public domain on November 30 in 2022. However, AI has long existed since the 1950’s and continues to advance with every passing year (Peterson, n.d.). Traditionally, robots were designed to operate remotely from humans to perform hazardous and tedious tasks. However, in the 21st century, researchers are starting to focus on engineering robots that cooperate with people rather than just taking tasks.

V-Tubers
What Are V-Tubers?
V-Tubers, also known as “Virtual Youtubers” are content creators who use virtual avatars or characters on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. Their avatars are frequently animated or computer-generated, used to represent these content creators. V-Tubers have gained in popularity as a new form of entertainment due to various significant factors. They offer anonymity and privacy, enabling them to maintain a distinction between their online persona and actual identity. This creative freedom allows them to explore various content genres, including gaming, music, and talk shows. They often incorporate humour and storytelling elements into their content. Their global appeal goes beyond language barriers, as many provide subtitles or translations allowing them to connect with viewers worldwide. Interactivity has always been a crucial part to their content as it fosters a sense of community, allowing for live chats and audience engagement.
Examples of V-Tubers:
- Ironmouse: Puerto-Rican V-Tuber (best known for her singing and “crazy” personality)
- Shxtou: Vietnamese-American V-Tuber (best known for his RPG Horror Games Series)
- KumiNoKuni: Indonesian-Japanese V-Tuber (best known for her VALORANT gameplays)

Electronisation/Digitalisation of everyday things? ?? ?? (e.g. normal doors to revolving doors, cars to Teslas [electronic self driving cars], no more physically owning things with subscription services
Electronisation/Digitalisation has transformed the way we live, work and play.
Examples:
TESLA: While cars have been a staple of transportation for over a century, the advent of companies like Tesla has revolutionized the industry. Teslas and other electric vehicles (EVs) are not only powered by electricity, reducing carbon emissions, but many also come with self-driving capabilities, enhancing safety and convenience.
Subscription Service: The concept of ownership is undergoing a shift. Instead of buying and owning items, many people now prefer subscription services. For instance, instead of buying DVDs or CDs, we now have Netflix or Spotify, where we pay a monthly fee for access to vast libraries of movies, shows, or music.
The Trend of Digitalisation is reshaping our world, making it more connected, efficient, and often more sustainable.
